Tami Rickey is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and certified in Asthma Education. She specializes in family medicine and provides acute, chronic and preventive health care to patients from birth to geriatrics.

Karen Saunders specializes in pediatric medicine. Certified by the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, she provides acute, chronic and well childcare to pediatric patients. Karen can write prescriptions, order medical tests, provide referrals, perform physical exams and procedures.

She enjoys reading and spending time at the beach.

Physician, Managing Partner

Christopher W. Obgurn, a managing partner in the practice, specializes in family medicine, with clinical interests Geriatrics, Sports Medicine and Diabetes. Dr. Ogburn is Board Certified and a Diplomat in the American Board of Family Medicine.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, loves sports, especially basketball, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Lisa C. Shah, D.O.*, DABFM
Physician

Lisa C. Shah, specializes in family medicine. She loves her work and looks at each patient in a holistic manner.

Dr. Shah focuses on educating patients about their disease process so they understand how to get healthy and maintain a healthy lifestyle to prevent the problem from reoccurring.

When she is not busy with her twin boys, she enjoys cooking and yoga. She’s a pescatarian* and takes an interest in nutrition.

Procedures performed: Pap smears, biopsies, laceration repair, thrombosed hemorrhoid extraction, wart removal, lesion removal. Joint injections including: Carpal tunnel, shoulders, knees, feet, trigger finger, de quervain’s (a painful wrist condition), elbows and all bursitis

Education and Training: Dr. Shah received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, her Medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences, and completed her internship and residency at Henry Ford, Bicounty, Warren, MI and St. John Hospital, Detroit, MI respectively.

Lesli Brown, M.D.
Physician

Dr Brown is originally from Richmond, VA. She specializes in family medicine with clinical interests including chronic disease management, women’s health, pediatrics and minor office procedures.

When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Brown enjoys reading, traveling and trying new recipes. She is married and joined Prime Care in late summer of 2012.

Areas of Interest:Family Medicine, chronic disease management, women’s health, pediatrics and minor office procedures.

Procedures performed: Wart removal, simple skin biopsy, office GYN procedures, joint injections.

Education and Training:
Dr. Brown attended Xavier University of Louisiana where she studied psychology. She went on to graduate from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009. Dr. Brown completed her Family Medicine residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA, where she served as Chief Resident.

Most insurance companies require you to be seen by your primary care physician before obtaining a referral.  We require at least a 48-hour notice to process your referral request.

Emergency and urgent care referral policy

If you have a medical emergency after hours and have been directed to go to the Emergency Room or an Urgent Care Center by one of our providers, please notify our referral coordinator within 48 hours so we can contact your insurance company for authorization.

Please be aware that we cannot obtain retroactive referrals.

Many of our employees have been with us for years – even decades.
